July 14, 2022 Deadline: August 19, 2022 5:00 p.m. ET (Call for Ideas)

The mission of the Greater Washington Community Foundation is to lead, mobilize, and ignite the power of philanthropy to build a racially equitable, just, and thriving region where everyone prospers. The foundation works with donors and partners to create lasting change in the District of Columbia, Montgomery County, Northern Virginia, and Prince George’s County.

The foundation’s DIVAs Giving Circle comprises Montgomery County women who seek to enable youth to have life-changing experiences through the arts. Each year, the DIVAs Giving Circle develops guidelines for its giving, evaluates youth/arts grant opportunities, and seeks to support promising arts programming for youth through a competitive review process facilitated by the foundation's professional staff.

The foundation invites applications for the DIVAs Call for Ideas: Addressing Mental Health & Wellness through the Arts program. For the 2022 grant cycle, the program is dedicated to programs that foster mental health and healing, promote joyful self-expression, encourage conflict resolution and violence prevention, build bridges, and inspire hope. Art-focused nonprofits and youth-focused organizations whose partnerships can ensure highly engaging, top-quality artistic programming are welcome to apply. All artistic mediums are welcome. (e.g., visual arts, theater, dance, digital media, video production, creative writing, etc.).

The call for ideas is due August 19, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. ET. Upon review, selected applicants will be contacted with additional questions and/or information about how to submit a formal proposal.
