My Vision

Starting small, and staying committed...
My vision for BEST keeps growing. I believe there is value in every person and I will ALWAYS be committed to the individual first!  Recently, I submitted my first major proposal for consulting a large out-of-state school district. I plan to write many more proposals that fit my expertise and skill level for school systems, businesses, and individuals. Many proposals allow me to utilize many more of my abilities that include workshops, training, teacher induction, and even one-on-one tutoring.

A brief business plan...
To market my vision, my plan is to start small. As each idea is planted and watered, I believe it will grow. Practically speaking, BEST will market what it does in cost effective ways. By this time next year, I hope to have a minimum of three (3) major clients across the country. In three (3) years, I hope to grow my small business to corporate/business status. By then, I will know more about establishing my brand globally.

My vision for community colleges, school systems, and businesses...
For community colleges, I would like to help build better relationships between students and faculty through evidence-based research that fosters greater student satisfaction with learning processes. Partnerships with high schools that feed community colleges is vital. And, these partnerships should not begin in high school alone, but elementary and middle school kids should be talking about college. In addition to Kindergarten graduation, 5 and 6-year-old kids should be participating in mock college graduations...with a university or college they dream of attending.  BEST's vision is for this to be the conversation from the beginning of this wonderful journey.

For businesses, my goal is to help foster more reflective approaches to employee satisfaction and long-term growth. For K-12 institutions,  this means a strong adherence to my belief in the establishment of effective community partnerships, sponsorships, and stakeholder buy-in. BEST's philosophy is that every teacher can be a superstar with effective human resource management and a culture that addresses negative Nellyism. Administators are key to establishing the type of leadership needed to sustain cultures of success. BEST offers interactive, classroom management strategies that increase student learning through differentiated modes. Further, in K-12 systems, teachers are important stakeholders who must have a voice in classroom curricular needs where warranted. I believe that no one model fits every school, district, or person; therefore, BEST will seek to customize its research into practical ways that allows each institution to thrive.
